Enamul’s new record back in the team

Enamul Haque Vijay has set a new record by getting a place in the Bangladesh XI in the St. Lucia Test against the host West Indies.

The last time he played Test cricket for Bangladesh was against the West Indies in 2014. After that, 8 years passed in the middle, but Enamul did not play white cricket for the Tigers. Finally, he is back on the team due to the injury of middle-order batsman Yasir Ali Rabbi. And that is why this batsman set a new record of playing Test for Bangladesh in a long break. That record was previously held by fast bowler Nazmul Hossain.

Enamul is returning in white after 8 long years 9 months and 11 days. Nazmul Hossain played his second Test after making his Test debut against India in Chittagong on December 16, 2004, just eight years after he made his Test debut against India in Mirpur on December 16, 2011.
Note that Enamul made his Test debut in 2012 against the host Sri Lanka in Galle.
